In Sugar Land, the Space Cowboys took on their opponents with a strong performance from pitcher J.P. France. With six strikeouts and only one hit allowed, France dominated over the final five innings to secure the win. Meanwhile, Ross Adolph, Joe Perez, and Grae Kessinger each hit solo home runs to bring in extra runs for the team.

Over in Corpus Christi, the Hooks faced some challenges in the early innings, with starting pitcher Jaime Melendez leaving the game early due to injury. Joey Loperfido proved to be a bright spot for the team, hitting a home run and an RBI in the game. Ultimately, the Missions were able to come out on top with a 10-7 score in extra innings.

Asheville’s Tourists had a strong showing in their game, resulting in an 8-3 victory. Tim Borden hit a three-run home run to bring the team to an early lead, while A.J. Blubaugh pitched well through five innings. The team was able to bring in extra insurance runs in the seventh inning, securing their win over the competition.

The Fayetteville Woodpeckers faced off against the Fireflies in a close game, with both teams tied at five runs in the eighth inning. Rolando Espinosa hit an RBI single to tie things up, but the Fireflies were ultimately able to walk it off with a sac fly in extra innings.
