Are you a diehard Astros fan? If so, you might not want to read this. The Astros had yet another rough outing on Sunday, which brought their already less than proficient season to an even worse place. In fact, it’s the first time that they’ve played at a .500 winning percentage or worse after 34 games since 2016. Ouch.

Despite the emergency starter Brandon Bielak’s admirable performance, the Mariners offense was just too strong and managed to take advantage of Bielak’s mistakes by getting 10 hits through 4 innings, ultimately leading to a 3-1 victory over the Astros.

But it’s not just a matter of one loss – the Astros have now lost six out of their last nine games and are now in third place, tied with the Mariners and 3.5 games behind the top of the division. If they don’t turn things around soon, this season could become a full-on nightmare for Houston.

The good news (maybe) is that the Astros are expected to welcome Michael Brantley and Chas McCormick to the team this week. And the even better news is that they have a chance to redeem themselves as they kick off a key series against the Angels on Monday.

This series against the Angels will be critical for the Astros – they’ll be facing off against Shohei Ohtani, Griffin Canning, and Patrick Sandoval, and it’s a make or break moment for them. Will they rise to the challenge and start playing like the Astros we know and love, or will their losses continue to pile up? Only time will tell.

If you’re an Astros fan, keep your fingers crossed – and don’t forget to check out the videos and box scores from Sunday’s game!
