Do you love baseball and want to stay on top of the latest talent to watch? Then you must read this blog post! Today, we’ll be diving into the Houston Astros and their talented affiliates. Among the standout prospects are Drew Gilbert and Jacob Melton, the organization’s top draft picks. But that’s not all! There are plenty of players from the Astros’ roster who could be playing for the Major Leagues in 2023.

One player to keep an eye on is power-hitting Korey Lee, who could serve the Astros as a backup catcher. Additionally, we have Pedro Leon and Justin Dirden who could factor into the outfield mix, while right-hander Shawn Dubin’s fastball/slider combination could make him a useful bullpen piece. Can you believe it might also be the year that 2016 first-rounder Forrest Whitley finally breaks through to the Majors?

And what’s even more exciting is that Houston’s Top 30 Prospects are all healthy to start the season. With the Astros pushing back the debuts of their top three pitchers to 2023, Dominican shortstop Camilo Diaz, who signed for $2.25 million in January, will break into pro ball in the Rookie-level Dominican Summer League.

But what about High-A Asheville? The talent there is just as impressive, with outfielders Joey Loperfido and Kenedy Corona coming off breakout seasons, and tooled-up Logan Cerny also playing the position. Right-hander Miguel Ullola overpowers hitters with a 93-98 mph four-seam fastball with tremendous carry.

In short, the Houston Astros have an abundance of talent that we should all keep our eyes on. If you’re a baseball fan, you won’t want to miss out on what’s coming next for this talented organization.
